This coffee comes from a historic farm that medical student Don Octavio Rodriguez purchased back in 1969. It grows on the Finca La Primera estate at 1450 to 2000 masl which owner Ignacio Rodriguez takes great care cultivating, resulting in a coffee with a cupping score of 84 and a complex flavour profile of strawberry, plum, black cherry and a hint of peach.
The Farm
Ignacio Rodriguez has transformed his family’s Finca La Palmera into a hub of specialty coffee, using sustainable practices like low-water processing, solar energy, and nutrient recycling through vermiculture. He employs 48 women, supporting families with fair wages. With selective hand-picking and controlled drying methods, Ignacio’s lab setup ensures top-quality beans.
The Coffee
A delicious coffee bean that hails from the town of Anserma in Caldas. These beans are grown at an altitude of 1450-1900 masl and are processed using the natural method for a rich, full-bodied taste.
